Activities and Local Attractions

Snorkeling can be enjoyed adjacent to the sundeck, out towards the reef, or over to the Blue Lagoon. Many species of brightly coloured tropical fish can readily be seen.

Scuba Diving can be arranged locally. This is a popular pastime as the ocean area is teeming with a variety of undersea animal and plant life. Your scuba dive master will pick you up dockside at Pelican Resort.

There are several beaches in the area for family picnics. San San Beach is within walking distance. Many other scenic beaches are nearby including the fabulous beach at Frenchman's Cove, once the vacation playground of actor Errol Flynn and several other celebrity guests.

River Rafting is a popular attraction in Jamaica. A trip down the Rio Grande river on a floating raft is a unique experience. Starting at the mountain top your leisurely raft trip winds through the beauty of the rainforest and bamboo fields to end at an oceanfront restaurant and gift shop.

Enjoy a tropical drink at this popular restaurant bar at the Blue Lagoon, an easy stroll from Pelican Villa.
